Piuray Lagoon

The Piuray lagoon is located at 3,435 meters above sea level, located in the Quechua natural region.

It has a perimeter of 8,750 m, 465 m. wide and 3,000 m. long, a depth between 20 and 50 m. This lagoon supplies water to the city of Cusco from the Tahuantinsuyo. It was the Incas who brought its waters to the imperial city through underground aqueducts.
